Bread!!!

I really want a dutch oven and mostly since I saw a link on not martha about how to make a no-knead bread. Well ever since, i've wanted one. I went to the site that was linked, saved the recipe and dream about the day that I can have my very own homemade bread. (why do dutch ovens have to be so exspensive?) On Martha Stewart (yes I watch her show) today the man that came up with the recipe was on and I got to watch them make the bread I so desperatly want to make myself. So if anyone has this beloved pot and wants to make the bread here is the recipe. Happy baking!

It's COLD!

I've had the past two days off from work and it's been freezing in our apartment, I just can't get warm. But I can't complain too much because in Portland where I'm from and where I'm moving to in April it's snowing. This is crazy, I feel so bad for these people. The wonders of snow sometime take a turn for the worst. Hope everyone up in Portland is warm and snug in their homes with a nice cup of cocoa.
Well anyone that knows me, knows that I love my birthday. It's just a great day for me. I have to admit it might be that it's the one day I get to do whatever I want and all the attention is on me. Isn't that why everyone loves their birthday? If I have to get older and nothing is going to stop the process I might as well enjoy it, right? This little necklace is an early birthday present to myself. I found these great little aquamarine beads and just had to make something with them since they are the birthstone for march and since my birthday is in march it made perfect sense. I love the way it turned out, it's very simple and classic, good to wear with anything. Maybe I'll make one for the shop so that anyone else with a March birthday can have one too!Scott is working on a new updated website for me right now and hopefully it will be up soon. I have lots of ideas on how I want it to look and work, now I just have to fill Scott in on all of them and hopefully he can translate all my hand gestures and my "you knows" to the site. I still need to put a link to my Etsy shop on my blog along with a few more things. So I'm thinking within this week I'll have most of it finished......I hope!

north for the day

We went up North by LA yesterday to take Scott's scooter back to the place he bought it from. It has never worked and we got so sick of trying to put in new parts to see what was wrong. So we rented a big truck and drove it to the place, since that is the only way they would fix it. we decided to make a day of it and it was really nice. We had lunch at a nice brewery and then went to the spectrum in Irvine. I love that mall and to make it even better there is a huge ferris wheel in the middle. We walked around, went to some stores, and just had a nice time. It was a gorgeous night. We then went to The Great Indoors, I had never been there before. That place is the biggest store ever it has everything you can imagine for your home. There was so much I wanted to buy but I restrained myself, and it was hard.We've had since Sunday off together and it's been really nice, we've watched a lot of movies, had some good meals, and got out of town. Now that's an awesome 3 days off if you ask me. That never happens for both of us to have off 3 days let alone together.
